ABOUT ME

I'm a statistician working at the interplay between theory and applications. In October 2016, I became a  CONACyT-CONABIO Research Fellow.

I conduct the bulk of my research for Dirección de Geomática at CONABIO. I am developing tools to monitoring Mexican ecosystems utilizing time series of satellite images (check out TATSSI for some work in progress). More about my research interests below.

I am also a lecturer for IIMAS and Instituto de Geografía at UNAM. More details on the Teaching menu.
